The Team

The Boss

Sarah Francis

Sarah has managed creative projects for the public sector, charities, social enterprises, start-ups, large international organisations and a lot in between. She has quite the mixed bag of skills but that’s what happens when you’re a Brand Ambassador, turned Market Analyst, turned Account Manager, turned Project Manager, turned Designer, turned Developer and now any combination thereof!

What you really need to know is that Sarah likes to get stuff done, nothing get’s her more worked up than an ill-thought-out plan.

She is a Digital Adviser for Tuminds Social Media, delivering workshops for Business Gateway on the Digital Boost programme and specialist 1-2-1 advice for Highlands and Islands Enterprise, to growth businesses in the region.

Outside of work, she’s kept busy with 3 small children, church life and serving on the board for Adopt A Child UK.

The Pixel Guy

Ruairidh Greenwood

Ruairidh, who most of you may know as Roo (his email-friendly name), makes up one quarter of the in-house YCD team. Responsible for the graphic and website design, hence ‘The Pixel Guy’. Whether it CMYK or RGB, Roo loves to make his work look it’s best and is always looking for an opportunity to be creative. One day Roo can be using a pencil and Adobe Illustrator to come up with unique branding concepts for a start up business, and the next he can be found using code and a computer mouse to style up a website. When Roo’s not pushing pixels he also deals with a lot of the support requests that come in from our existing clients.

Roo’s favourite piece of software is Adobe Illustrator – you can often find him at lunchtimes coming up with illustrations for his Instagram page.

Out of YCD hours you can find Roo in the ice rink, on the golf course, in the gym or sat in front of a computer. Roo is a sports enthusiast and a very bad loser!!!

Web Guru

Rachel Greig

Joining the team in the final quarter of ’17 Rachel adds further experience and knowledge to the webby side of things here at YCD, graduating from UWS in 2010 with a MSc in Multimedia and Web Authoring, she has experience of working with a range of CMS Systems including WordPress and Kentico across multiple client sectors.

Rachel has experience of working across multiple aspects of website design, development, management, and training from coding to SEO.

In her spare time, Rachel leads a running group called The Anderson Gin Joggers.

Social Thinker

Julie Auld

Julie is the latest addition to the YCD team joining us at the end of 2017. She began her career in the Press and Marketing teams for the Belladrum Tartan Heart Festival before trying her hand at freelancing in Social Media services when she caught our attention. With degrees in Media, Culture and Society, and Music Business, she has a grounding in both the theory and practice of Marketing. Whether you need help with your Google Adwords or Social Media Advertising, Julie is your go to at YCD!

When Julie’s not in the office you’ll usually find her in Glasgow where she spends her free weekends hunting out the best new bands around the city, desperately trying to get a seat in Tabac (a mere dream on a weekend) and book shopping in Voltaire and Rousseau.
